Payment of Annual Retention Fees for the Year 2019

1. According to Section 55 (b) of the Tanzania Food, Drugs and Cosmetics Act, Cap 219, all registered food, medicines, cosmetics, medical devices and diagnostics are required to be maintained in the register of registered food, medicines, cosmetics, medical devices and diagnostics by paying Annual Retention Fees.
2. The Retention Fees are required to be paid before 31st of January of each calendar year as per TFDA Fees and Charges Regulations, 2015 and its amendment Regulations of 2017.
3. According to the Regulations cited above, after 31st January, 2019 Import Permits will not be issued to any product for which its Annual Retention Fee has not been paid.
4. All companies are required to collect invoices and pay annual retention fees for the year 2019 from TFDA Sub-Head Offices, located at Off Nelson Mandela Road, Mabibo External, Dar es Salaam before 31st January 2019.
